In fall 2006 JCJCR joined together with the National Office of Catholic Schools in Israel and the TALI (Hebrew abbreviation for “Enhanced Jewish Studies”) Education Fund to initiate a large Dialogue and Identity Project which in the initial pilot stage involves a select group of TALI and Catholic schools in Galilee. The project is being developed both through a working group of the 10 principals of the participating schools and a second working group of 20 teachers. In the course of 2007-2008 the project will some 300 5th and 6th graders who will begin meeting in the 2007-2008 school year. Maarag (the Association for the Advancement of Education for Living in a Multicultural Society) is the organization that has been employed to provide professional educational guidance and facilitation for the project.
