This group of 25 Arab and Jewish women is drawn from various towns and cities in Galilee, including the Orthodox Jewish village of Moreshet, Yuvalim, Koranit, Azmon, Kiryat Ata, and Kiryat Motzkin, and the Arab towns of Kfar Yasif, Shfaram, Sakhnin, Tarshiha, Rama and Jish (Gush Halav). As with earlier previous “Women as Mediators” Groups the series of meetings are designed to empower the women through the study of mediation techniques, taught by Dr. Neuberger. The group meets alternately in Jewish and Arab towns, and extended study retreats are held at the Guest House in the Christian village of Nes Ammim. This year the group will be working in close cooperation with the Women’s Council in the Arab town of Shfaram.
